The entire visual presentation of the franchise will be compromised if animations lean away from reality. Please Relic don't let the animations slide towards whimsical and fun-loving. We don't need a separate Operator unit with its own HP etc, just a human as part of the siege weapon who dies when the weapon does. Please for the love of an iota of realism don't say readability. Why're we going back in time now? CoH had it.
This thread just reminds me again to please, please brush up those animations.įor me an important facet of this is to have manned siege weapons which were introduced in Age 2 in 1999 (with the Bombard Cannon of all units ironically), were embraced entirely in Age 3 and have been in every single RTS for the past two decades. Please Relic.įorget player colors (custom available anyhow) and forget lower-res textures in places (jarring tbh, but I'll let it go). If I had to pick one thing in this game that on a visual level shouldn't be compromised and really should be top-notch, it's the animations.
